Feast of (Summer’s Best) Seven Fishes
The Feast of Seven Fishes is an annual Christmas Eve vigil and the most beloved seafood feast of the year in Italian-American Catholic households. The tradition comes from Southern Italy, known as La Vigilia (the vigil). This celebration commemorates the wait for the birth of baby Jesus. The significance of seven fishes has a number of symbolic representations: 7 sacraments, 7 days of creation, 7 virtues, 7 deadly sins and the 7 days it took Mary and Joseph to reach Bethlehem.
6 couples (12 guests) are invited to join Principal Ford and his lovely wife, Rachel, at the home of Auction Chairs Allison Drago and Kyle Hughes in scenic North Tacoma.
